Gordon House Youth S.E.A.R.Ch

Youth SEARCh represents seeking employment and resources for change, offered through the Gordon Neighborhood House in the West End of Vancouver. We have proudly serviced youth from all parts of the Lower Mainland and culturally diverse backgrounds since 1979. Youth SEARCh aims at continuously providing quality programs that educate, build self esteem and ultimately initiate positive change and personal success in individuals aged 15 to 30 years old. Participants gain the tools, skills and knowledge they need to overcome barriers to employment that present them from finding sustainable employment- whether it be homelessness, alcohol and drug addiction, discrimination or lack of training and education.

The Youth SEARCh program is a Skills Link program funded by Service Canada and provides youth seeking full-time employment with the skills and on-the-job training they need to achieve their employment goals. Youth eligible for the program receive a wage of $8.00 per hour and are able to demonstrate commitment, motivation and a willingness to learn and make positive changes in their lives. No previous experience or training is required. Contact us for the start and end dates of our programming.
